Water, Water, Everywhere....

....Nor Any Drop to Drink.

I've always heard that last line from the Rime of the Ancient Mariner as,
" Not a Drop to Drink."

These are mammatus clouds.
Mammary clouds.

Three guesses as to why they are named that.

Never mind.
One guess should do it.

Last week another cold front blew in.
It brought these clouds with it.

However, these clouds did NOT bring water as they should have.
The drought continues.

Water, water everywhere,
Nor Any Drop to Drink.

Can you tell it makes me a wee bit grouchy?

  1. Those clouds look like they should be full of milk. When I've seen clouds like there was a good potential for a mean storm full of hail and even tornados. Glad you weren't hit by any of those.

  2. Those clouds sure look like they should have dropped tons of rain. A drought would make me grumpy also. Have a great weekend.
