Now This, This is a Cold Front

This chart pretty much speaks for itself.
Cold + Rainy + Windy = BBBbbbbbrrrrrrr.
It also equals chili, cornbread, hot chocolate (with tiny marshmallows), bundled up pets, people, pipes and plants.
It also equals a good day to turn on the oven.
I think homemade bread is order.
Or cookies.

What do you do on the first real cold front of the season?
Cook?
Enjoy that 'first sweater of the season'?
Go out and thumb your nose at the wind?
Light a fire?

  1. Arctic air from Canada rolled down over us last night. We woke up to eleven degrees and it went down to ten. No matter. I dressed in my warmies and went for a three mile walk around town. Son and Daughter went for a seven mile run up and down a hill. As long as our cold weather last we can't hide from it. Hope you didn't get the deluge of rain like Phoenix.

    1. I guess when you live where you have a real winter every year, you just suck it up and make the best of it. We whine and carry on and wear inappropriate clothing and run from heated building to heated car. :)

  2. We have four inches of beautiful wet snow. Everything still goes on..animals, machinery and work...although, I do have a grandchild coming to spend the day...maybe a snowman is in the works!

    1. Ah, I remember wet snow! I was the designated snow shoveler when growing up in MIssouri.
Have fun with your grandkid. You're a great grammy for not just sending him/her out to build one on their own. :)

  4. We have been having very cold temps for about a week now. Today it is snowing. It must feel very odd to you living in TX to experience What we northerners have every year. Keep safe and warm.

    1. Yes, we southerners tend to just hunker down and whine about this sort of weather. :)
